The foundation is led by a board responsible for mission alignment, financial stewardship, governance, and community growth. Each board member brings a unique perspective, experience, and personal commitment to helping youth grow through challenge, mentorship, and leadership.
President
Charles Smith is a dedicated leader with over 15 years of experience in the CNC and engineering industry, along with a strong background in management, operations, and mentorship. Known for his leadership, work ethic, and belief in positive change, Charles has spent years leading by example and helping others grow both personally and professionally. As President of T.R.A.I.L. Youth Foundation, he is passionate about guiding youth through leadership, outdoor experiences, and real-world life lessons designed to build confidence, character, and purpose.

Vice President
Nathaniel is a Milwaukee native with a passion for building stronger communities and developing the next generation of leaders. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Houston and built his career in public service, working in water utilities to protect public health and strengthen critical infrastructure.

Secretary
Craig spent his early years on an Air Force base while his father served in the military before being raised on a small farm in Westfield, Wisconsin. He built his career through hands on experience in manufacturing, maintenance, and automation, working across industries from garage door installation to electro mechanical and engineering environments in Green Bay.
"Why I serve: I want to pass on knowledge and life skills I took for granted growing up. Minor electrical, plumbing, auto maintenance, fishing, hunting, and honestly being able to solve problems when life throws you the ups and downs."

Darnell is a business and technology leader with over 20 years of experience leading transformation, growth, and operational excellence across global enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures.
